| DCfL Dacorum communities for learning offers Leisure Courses to over 18's. The courses are part funded by LSC & Herts County Council and participants are required to pay a small fee, the amount will be dependent on the type of course. Managing Digital Photographs Video Editing Touch Typing Languages - Spanish, German, Italian, French Bridge Calligraphy Henna Artwork Jewellery Making Arts & Crafts Painting with Watercolours Creative Writing Pilates Bollywood Aerobics Latin & Ballroom Dancing Line Dancing Food Hygiene Training Basic Cookery First Aid First Steps in Management If you have a suggestion for a course that is not on our list, please let us know and we will do our best to try and arrange one. We have also had requests for Cookery, DIY, French & Italian and where possible try to run courses depending on the tutors we have available as many are volunteers and also the number of people interested in the course. Courses are held over approx 6 weeks and for 2 hours in Length. They can be mornings, afternoons or evenings depending on the availability of the tutor. DCFL Courses may be held at Highfield, Gadebridge, Grovehill or Tring. Interested in Volunteering? As well as tutors, we also need assisitants to help learners especially on the computer courses. To assist learners who don't have a computer at home, all the Community Centres in the Programme have Internet Cafes, please call individual centres for opening times. |
